Born and educated in North-West London, I am a widower with two grown up children and have lived in Lytham St.Annes since 1986. I have had many jobs including being self-employed, worked for the DWP for many years in London and Leicester assessing benefit claims, and from 1980 until my retirement in 2013 was a senior IT Consultant and Project Manager.
For the last 12 years I worked for IBM advising major clients in the UK and across Europe. Since retirement I have done voluntary work for the Blackpool Food Partnership – a local charity that coordinates collection of food donations and distribution to local hostels and individuals in food poverty. I am a Governor of Clifton Primary School in St. Annes. My interests include genealogy, walking with my dogs, gardening, caravanning, photography and travelling. I run websites dedicated to the history of the Merchant Navy and for two charities.
