Last week on national Carers Rights Day 2023, n-compass was delighted to announce the launch of its Carer Friendly Mark, a new initiative designed to foster carer-friendly practices within organisations that support unpaid carers. Developed by n-compass, this quality mark aims to recognise and celebrate the achievements of organisations committed to supporting young and adult carers who are accessing their services or employed by them. 

The Carer Friendly Mark sets out key criteria that each organisation must meet to achieve accreditation, each accompanied by recommended minimum standards that raise the bar for carer support and ensure support is maintained at the highest level.  

This initiative goes beyond mere recognition; it is a testament to the organisation's dedication to identifying, supporting, and raising awareness for carers. The Carer Friendly Mark will be awarded to organisations exemplifying a steadfast commitment to enhancing the lives of carers through comprehensive and sustainable practices. Each successful organisation will receive an official certification and logo for their marketing materials. 

We also hope the Carer Friendly Mark will have a wider benefit, standardising best practice, increasing stakeholder confidence, empowering carers and driving positive change across sectors.
