We are very pleased to announce that we have been awarded Level 1 of the Social Value Quality Mark. The Social Value Quality Mark is a recognised external accreditation of values-led organisations and seeks to cultivate and validate the highest standards of excellence.

There are four award levels that measure and inform an increasing commitment to social value. By Level 4 we will have embedded social value through every part of our organisation.  Level 1 is a great first step for us because we want to be more ambitious and strategic about how we build and better articulate the social value we provide to the people and communities where we deliver services.

n-compass aspires to be a more socially responsible organisation reflecting the expectations of our employees, service users, commissioners, and communities. Social responsibility means doing more than the bare minimum; it means taking responsibility as a leading charity in our field and positively impacting society through continuous investment in social, economic, and environmental issues. Whilst we do this naturally through local recruitment, volunteers, social work placements and investing in local supply chains for example, we aim to broaden our scope and identify new ways to add value.

We will use the Social Value Quality Mark as a framework for structuring a new social value programme. Consulting with key stakeholders to identify their priorities and introducing a new measurement and evaluation system against specific and ambitious social value pledges, we will set the standard for social responsibility and add our name to the growing campaign promoting values-led organisational culture.
