On Sunday 11th July we were lucky enough to be the charity partner supporting the Festival’s closing night as Paul Weller, The Charlatans, Lottery Winners, and Nia Wyn performed.

Lytham Festival has grown from a one night only community Prom style concert to a spectacular 10-day event featuring iconic headline acts. Around 20,000 people were at the closing night, so what a platform to promote n-compass! We had the best weather for it too!

Taking our inspiration from The Jam, the team were ready in their black trilby hats, ties, shades, and branded attire to rock through the crowds and shake their buckets. The team welcomed VIP’s including Dev from Corrie, performed customer service roles, kept an eye out for lookalikes, chatted to the crowed and Teresa even had a go on the walkie talkies.

As the sun began to go down, the team relaxed into two solid hours of Paul Weller’s music before rushing to the exit gates to wish revelers a safe journey home whilst collecting for Lancashire Carers and our Young People’s counselling services.  We don’t have a total amount raised yet (we a busy counting the pennies) but we will be sure to announce it when we do.

A big thank you to the organisers of Lytham Festival for taking us on, and to the team who tirelessly and passionately worked the crowd telling people how we change lives.  Here are some pictures from the night.
